Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin can help any organization successively plan and manage an event. A benefit of using social media tools for management of events is their viral capacity that can be taken advantage of when you need it.

Facebook and Event Management

Due to Facebook's popularity, it is a good chance that everyone that will be attending your special event will have a Facebook profile. In order to use Facebook to help you with managing your events, you will need to start an event on your Company Facebook profile. In order to create an event on Facebook, simply click the "Events" tab which is located on the left side of your profile home page. Then click "Create event", which will be present in the upper right-hand corner of your page.

Once you have successfully created an event, from here, you are able to set the privacy of the specific event as well as invite your guests. To do this, within the event, click "Invite Friends" and from here, you can simply list the e-mail addresses of the guests that you would like to invite to your special event. This will give them a chance to RSVP so you can plan accordingly. Again, Facebook is a very easy way to both manage and plan your events in either a corporate or casual setting.

In fact, for those prospective guests that have a Facebook profile, you can form special groups and invite individuals who are a part of your team. This will let you both plan and get immediate feedback on ideas regarding corporate events and special occasions.

Tweeting Your Event @ Twitter

Using Twitter as a tool to help you with event management is an easy way to send a short 140 character "tweets" about your event. Twitter can also be used to help connect with new individuals if you need to promote your event as well easily communicate with your current followers. For example, when you make a Facebook post about your event, "Tweeting" this to your followers takes just seconds. This is yet another way that you can easily communicate with prospective guests when you need to get the word out about a special event. Twitter can also be used to share your ideas as well as another medium to gauge attendee satisfaction about your gathering that might not otherwise have been posted on Facebook.

Linkedin and Event Management

LinkedIn gives businesses another way to both connect and market their corporate events. LinkedIn takes event management very serious and has even created a subdomain that categorizes events at http:// events. Linkedin.com. Here, LinkedIn will list events according to their category which helps your Corporation expand its reach using social media tools. LinkedIn will let users search as well as filter by location, industry and time.This social media platform also gives you the ability to share your corporate or special events as well.

In our day and age, planning as well as managing events has become that much easier with the ability to use social media tools in order to help corporations stay organized and on top of corporate and special meetings.
